How COVID-19 Changed The Way We Work, For The Better

When the first cases of CV-19 appeared in late 2019, I don’t think we fully realized how much our daily lives, routines, work and communication would change, possibly forever… Initially, the changes seemed challenging and stressful but later on, we discovered moments for opportunity and change.
We have become a society focused on ingenuity and technology but certain regimes and methods that we had ingrained within our “work life” have struggled to adapt to modern times, From working in offices, organizing meetings, sharing and creating work, our ways of working were really challenged and often times, we failed to adapt. For some unfortunate businesses, this has led to closure and great personal debts.
We’ve needed to become better. We’ve needed to support our colleagues, friends and families while figuring out this new world. From this we learnt that our strict office regimes needed to adapt. We needed to value our office work less and our community work more.

ADAPTATION AND FORCING DIGITAL INNOVATION

It is said that where there is Challenge, there is Human. And we have looked these obsticals head on and discovered solutions, created supply-demand and built our economies, directing ourselves into a more digital future.

Meetings converted to virtual platforms, shared calendars, online project management tools… We have been forced to adapt and learn these modern tools so we can understand how to optimize ourselves and our work digitally.

This has not only triggered on a period of adoption to our societal normalities, but also brought forward a time for creativity in product, business internationalization, sharing of information, creating new relationships and ideas on development for our businesses.

The important business tools of yesterday, were massively challenged as we looked towards our tomorrow. We believe that we’ve come out the better for it. We have normalized an ease in sharing our work and ideas, in discussing and making changes to projects and assignments, to making deliveries or placing orders as efficient and as timely as possible.

We have been presented opportunities in times of challenge, as it often is. And our mentality as a society has driven us forward, saved businesses and even brought in greater profits and opportunities.

DIGITAL CURRENCY

Not only have our businesses been shaken to their cores but economies and currencies have been impacted to. Banks, Methods of Transaction and Cryptocurrencies have been massively rocked over the past few years, maybe even longer.

Recently though, the boat has almost been tipped over. From cryptos and digital investments, to developments in NFT’s and actual changes in Government to International policy and an acceptance into our digital inevitability. From coins with very low fees, instantaneous transactions and freedom in who can invest or use them, has left these digital currencies open to much growth, but, open to much controversy and accusation.

But, there has been an explosion in value and diversity in use of these coins, stocks and shares. Currency internationalization has been inevitable since the beginnings of the internet, but we have really allowed these changes, needed these changes, in order for our way of life to continue.

And I think this is very exciting for our future.

WHAT’S NEXT?

What next? Well, we believe the answer to that question lies in our past, funnily enough…

Technology has never been at such a powerful and integral part of our human history but, plaques, wars, geological changes etc. have been very common, unfortunately.

We as Human Beings have shown a consistency and absolute determination to get through times of turmoil and hardship. We conclude, through historical evidence, things will most likely continue down this path, of digitalization and internationalization. Relationships and opportunities have been created in the international community like never before, and why would it stop? Zoom meetings become more consistent and efficient, deliveries almost instantaneous, enhanced project and assignment completion rates, better relationships and understanding between different communities and ideas, a coming together, developing more products, that are sold more often, across the globe! We only see a bright future for our people…
